Unsure about nursery...

This a is a long winded nervous rant... So my son started at nursery January 2024 for one day a week (the only availability they had) then a few months later a brand new nursery was opening up and had all the bells and whistles (it's on the beach, has lots of interactive toys, a role play area etc) and because it was brand new we could choose our days which was obviously a bonus. I was feeling a bit sceptical about the fact it was new so it could go either way but thought it might be worth a try. So he goes two full days a week and has been there since September. He's a very sensitive little soul and it takes him a while to settle in, he still gets bit upset going in but they always send photos of him during the day and he looks like he' having a great time. Everything has been fine until last week. The nursery itself has massive windows on the top floor and none of them open. It's essentially a greenhouse. When the weather warmed up last week, the nursery became so unbearably hot. I asked the workers when the air-conditioning will be fitted and the staff looked so mortified and said they're not getting any. We get on really well with our key worker and she basically was very honest and said the owner is very tight with money and doesn't believe we need it. She's then since told me so many staff have left, so many parents are taking their kids out and she's probably going to leave soon as it's too much. I now really think we should pull him out, but because he's so shy it will take him a long time to get settled again. He'll be going to pre-school next year but that's still a whole year and a whole Summer (potentially 2) of feeling so anxious during the day. I have no idea what to do. My husband is very "He'll be fine" etc but I can't stop worrying, which I shouldn't be. Please give me your advice, I'm totally lost. Is it wrong to put him in another nursery again?

Can you get a place back at his original nursery? Or do they have a nursery attached to the pre school he is going to? If all of the staff and his friends are leaving anyway he will probably get unsettled where he is now anyway so i’d be tempted to move him xx

I'd move him to another nursery

The nursery will do something if it is affecting the children’s welfare. I would contact the correct people to find out the law on his sort of thing. There will be a maximum temperature or some guidelines they must follow xx
