teething?

so my son turned 11 weeks today the last week or so he’s been dribbling loads and always has his hand in his mouth, or likes to suck/bite on my finger. i put this down to development as at his age this is common however the last 2 days he’s been fussier than usual so i looked at his gums today and it’s slightly red. i was wondering if this looks like teething or a mark from something else, or even just the way the gums normally look? his temperature was 36.9 i last checked but has been fluctuating between 36.7 and 37.4 the last couple days. thanks guys xxx

Not sure about the gums but looks like he may have thrush on his tongue. Can you wipe the white stuff off?

@Alya Hi, we’ve been to the doctors a couple times due to midwives saying one thing doctors saying another but they eventually did a swab which came back fine. I do try to clean his tongue everyday with these spongey oral cleaners which has cleared the front of his tongue however i can’t seem to get the back good enough. Thankyou though xx

Doesn't look like teeth coming through yet.

Its probably not thrush and just milk residue if he doesn't have the best latch and therefore his tongue doesn't clean itself properly. Doesn't look like teething to me and teeth tend to come in a preprogrammed order (with the occasional snowflake that deviates). It could be pre teething...can take months for them to cut a tooth.

Any temp under 37.7 is fine! Anything over 38 is a problem!
