Moving to Geelong

Hi mums,
My husband, toddler and I are thinking about moving to Geelong. We are looking at areas like Belmont, Grovedale and Armstrong creek. Can anyone give us some insight into general life and family life here? Thanks so much

I don't live in either of the areas you're looking at, but I've found Geelong is a really nice place to live for a family. There are plenty of things for kids to do, and a more relaxed pace of life than in a big city. The waterfront is lovely, and it's really nice being so close to the coast. You really do need a car to get around though! I know that's all pretty vague, but happy to answer any more specific questions. 😊

I moved to Belmont last year and really enjoying it here. Can’t comment all that much on family life because my little one is only a couple of months old, but there are nice parks around, lots of families, good schools from what I’ve heard, and it generally feels like a safe neighbourhood! Happy to answer any specific questions you have :)
