@Jmt thank you :) we've got a few rompers just in case already :)
Would definitely second getting rompers rather than shorts, they are so much easier for nappy changes x
My little girl was born in April and last year she wore short sleeved or strappy vests most of the time as our flat was sooo hot during the summer. I used rompers too, but I think it’s worth getting some shorts, as we generally had her in vests but then quickly would put a pair of shorts on her if going out as it just felt a bit weird at times for strangers to be able to see her nappy poking out of the vest, and also the car seat straps I figured would have been uncomfortable against her bare legs.
I didn’t. Baby was in the shade and really didn’t need to be in shorts (born mid June last year, west coast). All the rompers I had went unused and she was in sleep suits mostly. If hot, no vest underneath. You can’t use sunscreen until they’re 6 months old so keeping covered is best.
Not shorts but rompers, purely for the fact they’re easier when changing nappies. Taking shorts off and putting them back on a newborn is not for me haha
