Hi all, looking for travel systems and feeling quite overwhelmed because even after I’ve shortlisted one, the reviews really put me off! Pls share what you’re buying or have bought and have personal experience with!! Thx xx

If you’re thinking of the icandy it’s lush, however the downside is it’s pretty heavy when folded up

We ordered the maxi cosi Adorra travel system, it’s only got 4 stars on most websites but we love it, really sturdy and the car seat is well tested too! Maybe go to a shop and give it a push around and see how you like it in real life ?

We’ve gone for the mamas and papas flip xt3- initially really liked the occaro but it was really heavy compared to the flip!

We got the Vennici Claro but got the cybex cloud T car seat with base 😁

There are so many options that you need to consider what you will be using it for and how. Will you be going off road often? If so 3 wheelers or the option to lock the front wheels is useful. Size - how big is it folded? Will you keep it folded or not? Where will you store it? Will it fit in the boot of your car? Is it light enough to easily lift in and out of your car if you need? Parent facing? Does the seat face parents or the world? Do you have a preference? How easy is it to change from pram to pushchair? Identifying what you want and how you'll be using it is helpful for ruling out options.

I have got the Nuna Triv just ordered today. I went to an independent baby/ pram shop and they were so so helpful. I found testing the weights, how they fold etc really helpful in making our decision and would recommend doing that massively!

Ask to trial putting in the boot of your car.

@Hannah THIS!! Or atleast lifting it onto a workspace of some description! This is what changed our minds about so many of the prams we loved!

There will always be negative reviews of every travel system, because we're all looking for something slightly different. You definitely need to find somewhere where you can try them out, fold them, push them. I loved the mamas and papas ocarro when I looked online and came close to ordering, but in person it's fold was really bulky and quite heavy. We've gone for the Venicci Claro, it's super lightweight with good suspension. The Venicci car seat isn't the best so we opted for the avionaut Cosmo which fits the Claro base.
