Y shaped bum
Just looking if anyone else has this with their little one?
My girl has a Y shaped bum crack, which I didn't think was a problem until our doctors checkup at 9 weeks where she made a comment on it. She noticed it, but then immediately followed with "but spine looks all good so no worries" then didn't mention it again.
I've now been googling (bad I know đ) and if it's Y shaped with hair above (which hers is) it could be spina bifida occulta, and there's so many mixed things online - some people saying it doesnt affect anything then others saying it needed surgery đ
Obviously I've got myself in a bit of a tizzy but I feel stupid going back to the doctor's about it? Especially if it's harmless in a way. I never knew it was a thing until I started searching about it and just trying to calm myself down really if anyone has experienced this?

My cousin has spina bifida, it would have been picked up on ultrasound. But donât feel silly going back to the doctors if you are worried!
My little one doesnât have this but I actually do myself and can confirm I have gone through 32 years with no issues at all! Obviously if youâre worried just check again with the doctor just to get the reassurance as some person on the internet who didnât have problems doesnât mean there isnât a possibility it will be a problem but Iâm pretty confident when I was a baby, my mum just thought it was a funny shape đ
