Temperature on monitor

How much do you trust the temperature on your little ones monitor? It’s currently saying his room is 29 degrees but I’ve been in and I don’t think it’s feels that warm but I’m always freezing anyway. The window is open but I dunno whether I need to go in and disturb him to strip him down a little or if my monitor is just playing up 😣

Ours always says it’s warmer than it actually is (we have the grow egg in the room which I go off of instead) x

Our monitor usually only reads 0.5° higher than our gro egg. It probably varies slightly between monitors. Could you go in and see how warm his belly feels and if he seems hot maybe change what he's in? 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

I definitely think it’s my monitor, unsure if it’s the placement of it or what but I’ve been in a couple of times and his room feels really cool. Thank you!

I always worry about this. So the lower monitor says a lower number than his baby cam which also has a temp. That's high up so when heat rises I think it is tracking that. The actual room thermometer is on a similar level to his cot so I go off that. It's really hard to judge how many layers and if I touch him ever so gently he would wake.

My vtech monitor usually says it's 1-2 degrees more than it actually is, if he is in one layer of clothes with 0.5 sleep bag that should be fine for the temp x

My daughters baby monitor is on top of her wardrobe, since heat rises it always displays a higher temperatire than what her room is.

We have a grow egg in the room with our son, it will always be one or two degrees higher
