Anyone else’s baby roll onto their stomach during night sleep get stuck and can’t roll back?

Last few nights my 5 month old LG keeps rolling onto her stomach in her cot, getting stuck as can’t roll back so I’m literally getting up every half hour to 45 mins putting her on her back however she won’t stay on her back.. any advice? I’m exhausted 😩

Will she sleep on her tummy? I had this a couple of weeks ago and my little one now loves sleeping on her tummy, I find she actually sleeps better that way than on her back! X

Once they can roll I think they're fine to stay that way. My daughter rolled this morning. I must admit, I panicked and moved her back. I think I'll probably leave her in the future. She can roll both ways but seems to forget how to go back from her stomach.

Mine does this! She gets super frustrated on her tummy after a while but seems to forget how to roll backwards so also up in the night because she’s crying when she’s stuck 😂

@Emily this is the thing she lays face down then gets agitated cos she doesn’t turn her head to breathe and be comfortable.. she’s not mastered how to roll back but the minute I roll her onto her back she’s back on her tummy.. I’ve tried waiting a few mins but she’s unsettled x

@Anna same but all night!

@Loren id leave her be but she’s on her face.. doesn’t turn her head.. I’m struggling big time

@Gemma I honestly don’t know if you can do anything but keep trying to show them how to roll… but I’m with you on how tiring it is!

@Gemma oh that's tough! Can you give her time in her bed during the day? I am trying to do this with the hope that eventually she will get used to it and figure out what she needs to do.

@Loren yeah I do that, just moans when she’s stuck on her tummy 🙄😔

Mine does this and cries until I help roll him back 🤣

@Rachel same but the second I roll her she goes back !!

@Gemma I’m sure they’ll figure it out soon but I’m with you…on top of the short stints of sleep we’re getting anyway, it’s exhausting!

@Rachel it’s like night 4 we’ve not slept..

@Emily I wish, she lays face first so just squirms and won’t turn her head 😔x

My LO did this when he first learnt to roll but as time goes on he’s stopped doing it so much in his crib. I found getting a large playmat for him to practice and play on during the day helped him stop doing it so much at night x
