Lanolin cream & nipple shields
Congratulations on your new bubba. 💕 I’d definitely get support from a midwife, health visitor or breastfeeding specialist in your area if you’re able to get out. Have a look on La Leche League website too - I think they have general advice as well as online/phone support. It might be that baby doesn’t have a great latch or she could have tongue tie. If baby is latching well, it shouldn’t hurt. Silver nipple shields helped me in the beginning - I used the koala babycare ones from Amazon (about £25). Pop them in your bra for a bit between feeds and they catch breastmilk which soothes them. But your nipples will also need to “breathe” between feeds. https://www.nhs.uk/baby/breastfeeding-and-bottle-feeding/breastfeeding-problems/sore-nipples/
Coconut oil worked for me better than any nipple cream.
Squeeze a bit of milk and rub on nipples, let air dry. I was doing it several times a day and helped a lot. Also as others said, get support to ensure baby is latching correctly
Lansinoh nipple cream helped me and u can put it on before feeding which is good xx
Breastmilk is super healer. Do as Marcela said
I went on Amazon and got hydrogel cooling breast pads that you put in the fridge. And then also used jelonet dressings to help heal change at every feed. X
