Velcro Baby

Anybody else find their newborn doesn’t like to be put down? How did you deal with the nights if you don’t co sleep as I’m too scared to do so. He also won’t soothe from crying unless he’s on the boob

I used mine or husband's shirt that we wore all day/ slept in night before, put that on her just to get her to sleep. Then I'd either pat her hip/ bum over and over like a vibrating chair shhhh/ white noise on. I'd keep white noise on 12 hours 7-7. This would get us 2-3 hours ebf of sleep at night mainly 2 hours early on. At 4mo she was still eating often so that was hard on me. This time I plan on formula overnight. I'm not gonna pretend it's easy & magical when I need to sleep lol 🫣🤣💖

My baby was like that. He was over me for the first 4 months. Literally. Days and night. I was cosleeping because it was impossible otherwise. (There are safe ways to do it. Watch happycosleepers on Instagram). After 4 months I could put him down few minutes. It started to ease around 6 months when he was able to sit on his own...

Have you tried waiting a little longer before attempting to put baby down (haven't tried this myself as baby not here yet) in our antenatal class they mentioned that you may need to wait for about 20 mins so that baby has entered their non rem sleep part of their sleep cycle (deeper sleep).

I had a velcro baby. I had to co sleep for my sanity. There are info sheets online on how to do this as safely as possible. https://www.lullabytrust.org.uk/baby-safety/safer-sleep-information/co-sleeping/ (Not sure why all my posts start with "now" I cant seem to delete or edit it off)

Coslept side sleeping on the boob for life. Still at 11m.

My son was like this for an entire year basically.
