Does baby have a dummy? That can confuse them, have they been checked for a tongue too? How’s your milk production? It could be too slow for her if you’re not producing too much. My little girl is 4 weeks on Thursday and she’s very hit and miss. It also depends on how quickly I can get to her to feed her as if I’m busy and she’s got worked up it’ll be so much harder to get her on. Maybe try getting her on a bit earlier?
Having the bottle it could be because it is so much easier for her to get milk from. They tend to be a bit faster flowing. Theres ones from nuk that are recommended for breastfeeding and they are much slower than other high street bottles like mam. You could also ask a local breastfeeding support group / hospital for help, you may find using a nipple shield helps them to latch and accept again? But I am not sure on that one x
I attended a breast feeding support group yesterday and said my 4 week old has started whimpering a bit sometimes when feeding. They said it could be that no milk is coming and to try changing breasts more regularly, every 5-10 mins and also try compressions (compressing part of the breast when feeding to increase milk let down)
You could have a fast let down so it might be a bit much for her? You could try expressing a bit first so the flows not so fast. Or it could just be her position and taking in a bit too much air when she sucks.
