My little girl started nursery in September (so it’s been over 8 months now) and ever since starting she has had virus after virus. Various sickness / tummy bugs, hand foot & mouth, ear infections, what seems like 100 different cold/flu viruses, slap cheek, conjunctivitis, chest infections - the list is endless and I also have a really rubbish immune system so end up catching them all. I feel like I’ve had to take so much time off work and although they’ve been pretty good about it, I’m a bit worried they are getting annoyed now. I had a lot of time off during pregnancy as I was so unwell / ended up in hospital for weeks on numerous occasions. I kind of feel more of a hindrance to my work at the moment! Is anyone else the same?😩

We had this with my eldest who is nearly 4 now, it was brutal! We even went for a blood test to check his immune system. We gave him an iron supplement in case that would help. By the time he was 2 he had grown out of it, and he’s rarely been ill in the last 2 years, I can’t remember when he last missed a day of nursery.
Hang in there, it’s tough. Summer is coming and there are far fewer viruses going round then x

Yepppp this was us! It’s finally been better for about 2 months and we started in December but it was awful and my work made me feel terrible about it too. I use the wellbaby multivitamin liquid and I really do think that’s helped Xx

I went through the exact same thing. Luckily I work for the NHS so they’ve been “relatively” ok.
The best you can do is be honest and talk with your employer or if you have an occupational health department or a representative you can talk to.
It’s only a small phase we seem to be in the clear now but I barely worked over the winter we were all so sick.
Sorry your having such a rough time

Same here and it’s stresses the hell out of me. I also have a job when getting a dreaded call from
Nursery means a disaster.

Yepp I was in same boat and he had blood test to check his immune system , I did find ‘kendamil comfort drops ‘ since starting these touch wood he’s be fine and no illness x

I’m wondering if we should get my daughters bloods tested too but on the other hand me and my husband both get sick too with her so it can’t be all of us have something not right with our immune systems 😅
