We did at 18m! He was still waking 2-3 times a night and now sleeps all night since switching. Doesn’t climb out until 8am
Likely 3. He sleeps through the night in his crib and has never tried climbing out. I’m on the side of it’s not broke don’t fix it. Also because friends of ours switched their toddler too soon and ended up back with the crib for a bit longer until he was ready to transition. He currently naps on a cot at daycare which I think will be helpful when we transition him to a bed
We’re planning on switching to a toddler bed when he can climb out of the crib on the lowest level since ours actually converts into a toddler bed
We just moved ours to a full size floor bed that we got on amazon. He is on the taller side and i am due with #2 in July so we transitioned him so new baby can have the crib.
@Samantha we just got a twin mattress Though I'm not currently expecting, we've got a mini crib rather than a full size and he's already 34 inches long. And a mini crib is 38 inches long .
And he's gotten stuck in it a few times last week arm stuck between bars and couldn't get himself out by himself
We actually just transitioned the crib to the toddler bed this week. She’s done so well with it! Hasn’t tried to climb out early but she sleeps in the same room as her sister so that may help.
My daughter was about 🤔 closer to one when SHE moved herself from her own bassinet to the toddler bed. I tried the crib and she wasn't having it 😭. I even slept in the crib with her and she wasn't a happy camper lol 😂. She wanted the big girl bed so we got her one and that's what she's currently sleeping in.
We’re waiting. He still sleeps fine in the crib and doesn’t try to climb out, but we are getting a toddler bed. If he shows interest we can start with naps, but honestly I’m not sure he has the impulse control for a toddler bed yet. I’m conflicted with another baby on the way
