Classes

Does your toddler go to any classes? I.e dance, swimming, etc? And if so how do you find their attention span and interest in at this age?

My son goes to toddler football and most kids there are around the same age. It depends on a child, some of them listen to all the directions but most of them listen to about a half and do what they want for the rest of the time 😂 It’s worth asking if the groups you’re considering do a trial session so you can see how it works for you and go from there

My son has been swimming since he was about 10 weeks old, it’s only half an hour in the pool and he loves it. My plan is to enrol him in something active like rugby or football when he turns 3

Mine goes to swimming lessons, they’re half an hour long and she usually loses interest about 20 mins in when she starts to feel cold 😂 she wants to go to dancing like her sister when she turns 3 but I don’t think she’ll have the attention span for it until closer to 4!

My son loves his swim class when we manage to get there (I'm 8 months pregnant). His dance class, his attention is better when I'm not in the room so we moved him up from duet to a regular class. Last year his attention for soccer wasn't great, mostly because there was a playground right beside the field. We'll see how he does this year. He starts in a few weeks.

My daughter goes to swimming class, forest school, football, toddler play group and ballet each week. But I’m a sahm and the key to being a sahm is to never be home 😅 jokes! We do our activies in the morning then have free afternoons of playing at home, in the garden or in the park x

Thanks all this is really helpful, we tried ballet about a year ago but I think she was too young, but will try some other classes now she’s older x

@Chloe wow you are busy! 😂 that sounds great though. I’ve been looking for a forest school do you mind sharing which one you go to? X
