Baby Reflux, is Pepcid safe?

My baby has silent reflux and was prescribed Pepcid. I'm hesitant about giving them the med because of side effects. Do you have any experiences or thoughts?

I have not used it, and all 4 of my babies were big spitters. Peds offered to give it, but they were never in pain with it, and growing just fine. I opted for Chiropractic care and lots of laundry. Babies have an immature sphincter at the base of their esophagus/top of stomach that doesn't open and close properly for a few weeks/months. Chiropractic care helped to regulate that response and really limited the spitup! By about 3 months or so, it's much better, if not gone. With no RX side-effects.

Hi my daughter is 7 weeks today. She has been taking Pepcid since about 2 weeks old. I was hesitant about her taking it. But she was in so much pain and so upset that we tried it. It helped so much! She feels so much better and returned to my content and happy baby. I haven’t noticed any side effects. I’m not one for pushing medications, but I am okay with it when it’s a necessity. I am honestly happy that we started it when we did.

My baby is 11 weeks and just started taking it last week. Haven’t experienced any side effects and she’s in so much less pain.
