idk how to say this w/o sounding like a conceited humble bragger so i apologize lol
but as someone who is only recently back in the dating game how do yall hold a conversation w people when they just WILL NOT stop complimenting you?
they’ll text me and say something like “omg you’re so gorgeous” and i’ll be like “omg thank you i appreciate it” and then ask them ab their day or something and they will either ignore the question entirely or answer it but compliment me again in the same sentence like ???
THANK YOU!!! but also. there is only so many ways a gal can say “omg wow ty you’re sooo sweet” before we’re just going in circles and not having any sort of meaningful conversation lol

over-complimenting is a 🚩 imo. i would never date guys who constantly complimented me like that because it’s annoying to me

@Raqi I said it to someone once and they were like “uh ok. I didn’t know you were so conceited.” Like theyre only complimenting because they want to hear a thank you not cuz they want someone to feel good about themselves
