Best pillow and duvet for toddlers?

Silly to ask when Google has the choices but I find I’m really indecisive. 20 month old wears a footed sleeping back and still in his crib. I’m thinking to change to the toddler bed and introduce a pillow and light duvet before he starts nursery when he’s 2. What brands are people using? Bubba flips around constantly while sleeping so I’m wanting something light.

My little girl has a Silent Night anti allergy pillow and duvet, they came as a set for about £17 I think it was. 4.5 tog if I remember correctly. X

I’ve bought a coverless duvet from dunelm for when I try as I panic about him being able to somehow get into the bedding set and suffocating - it’s probably a very irrational fear but I just can’t get over it. I think that’s a 4/4.5 tog. You need a slightly higher tog than sleep bags, as they’re only up to 2.5/3 tog because they cover their back etc as well. My son currently isn’t doing great with the duvet transition but I’m mainly sticking to it for day nap and then sleep bags at night because he’s so wriggly in the cot. I went in the other day to find he completely threw the duvet out his bed and slept with nothing except his pj’s🙈 I felt awful but he was obvs comfy lol x

@Courtney I worry about him suffocating too! Especially bc I feel Like he sleep “walks” he sits up or stands up in the crib and flops all over the place

@Meagan this is exactly my little boy!! He is also a sleep walker. He’s only very recently progressed to actually getting up and walking around the cot. It’s actually quite scary imo 🫣😂 I’m still yet to turn his cot into a toddler bed because I’m worried about him hurting himself so I’m slowly introducing the duvet in the cot first. The first few naps he’s laid on top but recently he has started to snuggle under it and seems content. I haven’t introduced a pillow yet as his mattress is slightly propped one end as he struggles with his chest on a night xx
