Basically, in my last pregnancy, I had a lot of different problems going on , the biggest problem was that I found out was a carrier of strep b because of that issue, my baby did nearly died ,would you risk getting pregnant again, knowing that the chances will be exactly the same knowing I can have a late miscarriage between 14 and 24 weeks or even my baby being born already dead is a risk worth taking. I don’t know if I could cope with a loss of a child I feel like the opportunity of having another child has been taken away from me.

I have been told I am high risk due to various reasons and I went ahead with this pregnancy, they are good at helping you and prepare your body to lessen the risk but if you are worried I would suggest you talk to a doctor to get their opinions

A lot of women have strep B and don’t even know or it lays dormant…. It was never picked up with my 1st or 2nd… only 3rd as I had an infection… you will have antibiotics at the start of labour to minimise the risk of passing it on. X

Group b isn’t routinely tested in the uk, thousands of women have it and have no idea!

I've been wondering about this too!
It was picked up with a kidney infection I had , unfortunately having the antibiotics at the start of my labour wasn’t quick enough and he caught it and ended up with meningitis and nearly died that’s why I’m saying I don’t know if it’s worth going through all that pain which I still struggle with everyday

You could ask for a c section as that may reduce the risk as baby won’t be passing through the birth canal x
