my daughter is 2.5 and we still have showers and baths together. i did with my mum till i was at least 5/6 i reckon. i agree with above, carry on as long as neither of you are uncomfortable!
I showered with my now almost 2y9m from about 2-3mo. Just faster to shower than bath.
There aren’t rules on this. Each family is different. Stop when you feel you or your child are uncomfortable
My girls 3 and we still bath together sometimes. She loves it when I get in with her x
My little boy was 3 in April and we still shower together x
I've been showering with my baby since she could hold her head up
My daughter is 16 months and she takes a bath with me once in a while. I just don’t do it a lot because we still nurse and she thinks it’s an open buffet lol.
My son is 4 and he still takes showers with me from time to time lol! I think before he starts Kindergarten is when we will stop.
When he says he doesn't want to within reason.
I don’t think there’s a right or wrong. I was reading yesterday that normalizing (safe) naked bodies when they are under 5 makes them be less self aware of their bodies later on. I’m planning to do it until he says he doesn’t want it anymore. I was raised showing that naked bodies are just bodies without clothes and showered with my cousins all my childhood and also teenagers years (coming home from the beach) and I think it helped me not to be embarrassed of my body by seeing other bodies. Of course, now we as parents have to do the job of teaching consent and boundaries, but I don’t think exposure to nudity of parents and siblings can be harmful if all parts are comfortable.
I think as long and you’re both comfortable, keep going. When either of you feels it’s time to stop (obviously when he’s older and says so) - go for it. My niece was 4/5 and would come into my bath before I had a chance to say no. (Her mum was okay with it too)
