Embarrassed and defeated.

My kids have started nursery and only been once as I’m have panic attacks and physically sick on the days I know their going. I feel like I hit a brick wall and psychically cannot walk out the door. I’ve recently been put on iron tablets as my irons low (diagnosed with anaemia) I think all this isn’t helping either. I’ve never really been an anxious person before but since being diagnosed with anaemia I find it hard even going anywhere.

Hey mama! As someone who's always been anemic, I have those days often, it really messes with your mood, on top of feeling sluggish and anxious. It's okay, iron tablets actually take a while before you actually feel a difference but make sure you're taking vitamin C as well, it helps you absorb the iron, otherwise your body just disposes of it. Make it a habit to get outside for at least 10 minutes in the sun, it really helps the mood. I go out in the morning with my coffee and it a good way to get your day started. Mines is currently low again, and my house is so messy lol I'm currently cleaning it while everyone is sleeping. But also pour into yourself first, you can fill any cups if yours is empty. I took the time today to do an everything shower, do my hair, did some skincare. Also bathed my baby, and did her hair as well, now I feel alot better. But now my house and laundry is next, I've been putting it off way too long. Tomorrow I'm gonna go grocery shopping, do some baking and meal prep.

I've been slacking on my healthy meals, with anemia you have to eat properly! Lots of nutrient dense meals. I'm a planner type of girl! It's the best way I can keep up with things, you should try it! I find it super helpful. But hang in there! It gets better! ❤️

When I was anaemic it made me depressed! It really does screw with your mental health! Hope you’re ok and feeling better soon xx

@Chelsea the tablets I’m on have caused me so much anxiety. How long did it take for your symptoms to pass xx

Stop taking meds and tackle it the old fashion way with healthy foods and drinks. Which tablets or meds are y'all on goodness. So sorry. I didn't know they can do all this. Get liquid iron meds if you can and take it every 2nd or 3rd day while being serious with food and drink intake. It can be done with out medication.
