How much expressed breastmilk?
How much expressed breastmilk are your 8/9 week olds having? My little boy is offered 4oz but usually stops at 3.5oz, 7x a day. Totalling approx 24oz per day. Does this sound about right? I keep seeing babies who are on 5/6oz and this point but wondering if it’s different with formula and breastmilk? I want to make sure he’s having enough as it doesn’t seem a lot.

That’s normal for a breastfed baby. Your breastmilk adapts to what baby needs so around 4oz is normal whatever their age whereas formula has to be increased to provide them with more nutrients

I breastfeed but on weekends give a bottle of expressed milk, she usually has 5oz but then she has a longer sleep/break before the next boob feed than normal so I dare say she drinks less from a standard boob feed - she's 7 weeks
