Going back to work

I went back in March 3 days after our LG turned 5 months.
I'm a nurse in a private school so work shifts and luckily my manager was amazingly flexible as we have no family nearby to help. I do 2 nights shifts (can sleep on nights) & a Saturday afternoon so my husband has our LG whilst I'm working.
I know I'm very lucky to not have to use childcare especially as I went back earlier than I really wanted to due to finances x

I'm going back full-time in September. We were going to send baby to nursery 4 days with his older sister who's 3 but hubby is finding it hard to get a job after his maternity leave cover one finishes so looks like he may be a sahd for the year, so October baby might still be home for the foreseeable future.

Going back to work in November. 3 days a week. 2 days at nursery. 1 day dad and grandma look after her.

Went back last month was a struggle getting baby to take a bottle but she’s fine and adjusted well. My 2 year old is fuming. The younger ones don’t hold a grudge

Going back to work mid October, technically full time but only working 3 days a week the other 2 days will be put in as annual leave to the end of the year then will likely work 4 days a week from January onwards.
Baby and 3 year old will be at nursery 2/3 days and grandparents 1 day.

I’m going back when my little one is 10 months old.
Same hours but dropping one day.

I’m not going back until first week Nov (the twins will be 1 on 17th oct) I’m going back full time over 4 days and hubby will be dropping to 34 hours over 4 days. The boys will be doing 2 & 1/2 days nursery (same one our daughter is currently out) 1/2 day with grandad

I've got two jobs, my teaching role I'm going back last week of August in preparation for the academic year, that's 2 days a week and he's going to the in laws whilst I'm there.

In November I'm going back to my NHS job, that's also 2 days a week. He's doing 1 day at nursery and 1 day with my mum.

So I'll be at home with him 1 day (plus weekends)

so lucky that you have family support for 3 days!!

incredibly so! In laws are retired and live next door to my teaching job, my mum is not retired but is dropping her hours in preparation for retirement and happy to have him on that day.

Going back start of July full time but using annual leave to work only 3/4 days a week until she’s 1.
She will be in nursery 2 days per week July- Sept, with myself and partner one day and grandparents another.
From October she will be in nursery 4 days and with grandparents 1 day.
The thought of having to leave her and have 4 days in nursery per week breaks my heart x

I used to be a private nanny but I’m not allowed to take baby to work with me so I quit and I’m going back to nursery 3 days a week. She’ll be coming with me. We start mid July

Going back beginning of September 3 days ( I was already part time from my first) LO has to go nursery 2 days, hubby gets every Monday off rest with me

Going back Oct and hopefully 28-30 hrs a week. Baby will be in nursery. My dad would love to babysit but he’s not retired yet and lives over an hour away 😞 god knows how we’re gonna afford nursery tbh

Full time in September. I do shifts so it will be 3 long shifts (14 hours) into 3 days. One day most likely being a Saturday.
