I was induced at 38+0 and I went in to my induction knowing it can take a while and I didn’t expect to have my baby for another 2-3 days. Started induction Tuesday morning, contractions started late afternoon, took out pessary around midnight to see if contraction would keep going, but they stopped. Re-inserted pessary in the morning and it felt like nothing was happening despite having contractions. They were able to break my waters in the afternoon and about 12 hours later my baby was born. Overall I had a positive induction experience. It is important to not expect anything to happen straight away as it can get frustrating easily…and if it does happen straight away - happy days! Good luck ☺️

I went in on the Wednesday by the Friday my water was ready to brake but they had no room in the delivery ward so had to wait a week ended in an emergency section as baby was in distress. Don’t mean to be a bitch but I’d never get induced again both me and baby almost died babies heart rate stopped and so did mine
Induction started 11am-ish on the Friday, had 3 lots of gel between then and 3am. Had a 6 hour labour and baby was born Saturday 3pm x
Had the cucks balloon in on the Saturday at 4.30pm for 12hours, my waters went naturally an hour later, early contractions started 2 hours after that and he was here by 1.30pm Sunday Hope it all goes well for you!!!

Had the first pessary Tuesday midday ish, had 2 rounds of the pessary + 2 gels, ARM Sunday morning (wouldve been saturday but had to go back as 2 emergencies came in) my son was born via Emergency C Section Sunday evening... Honestly? I regret having an induction, the single most traumatic experience ive ever had (not due to the actual induction though, but the staff, so dont come for me there, just my experience)
I was induced at 37 weeks at 9:05 pm and they broke my water with the folie bulb and by 7:35 the next day I had my son after 5 big pushes so I was only in labour for 22 1/2 hours and active labour for less than 10 mins
Just over 6 hours! Had the pessary in for about 4/5 hours. Had it taken out as I was contracting. The whole labour and birth took 44 mins! X
I was quite nervous at first about the idea of being induced because you often hear negative experiences, but it actually went well. I was induced at 7am and had my baby girl by 5pm. From what I’ve gathered, induction can make labour feel more intense since it doesn’t follow the body’s natural rhythm—but since it was my first baby, I didn’t have anything to compare it to, which probably helped!
22’ish hours
1st meds 10pm Friday, baby here 5:30 Sunday. Pessary followed by gel. Waters broke 4 hours after gel and it ramped up quick after that.
Balloon on the Thursday lunchtime, fell out Friday morning, had to wait at home for delivery suite, Monday lunchtime went in waters were broken, drip and epidural. No progression for 8 hours, advised would need section. But Checked one more time fully dilated. Assisted delivery by ventouse and episiotomy after 3 hrs pushing. Baby born 230pm On the Tuesday. So 5 days altogether, 22hrs established labour.

48 hours and then a c section
Gel given at 11pm and baby born 0830am x
Gel given at 10am started getting pains at 9pm, went to delivery suite at 11pm was put on the drip had gas and air and diamorphine and then gave birth 5:01 morning after. Was only in active labour 6 hours x it was a positive induction experience x
First baby just under 4hrs. 3rd baby was 4cm around 4pm, she was out at 5:32pm. Drs have said I have precipitous labours 🤷🏻♀️
I was induced with misoprostol, first dose was late morning and contractions started within a couple hours, my waters broke at 11:30pm. Pain increased to 10/10 with no breaks inbetween, I was having the gas and morphine and spent some time on a birthing ball in the shower but pain was unmanaged, I was only 4cm dilated and baby had tachycardia with decelerations so I had to have an emergency c-section at 8:11am.
I had my son within 24 hrs after 1 pessary
Resulted in c section. Horrible experience. I got the gel with the iv to induce labor. Failure to dilate. 32 hour labor.
Had 3 doses of cytotec 4 hours apart from each other didn’t need pitocin at all! Labored 14 hours total
3 days and several methods..I absolutely preferred C-section over induction
3 days Pessary —> waters broken manually —> hormone drip with epidural. Ended in an emergency c section, wished I’d just opted for an elective C with hindsight.
A week 😂
@Amy I ended up having the exact same experience… had the pessary laboured for 20 hours then had emergency c-section
@Leigha oh gosh! Congrats on your little one! But how are you feeling after?
@Amy I thought I’d be worse, adjusting to newborn stage with a c-section has been tough I won’t lie! But I’m getting there, day 4 and ive felt better than what I have these past few days, just taking everything how it comes and being easy on myself❤️
@Leigha Awh good. Take it easy on your belly too! Specially movement and exercise! But hey! Just a few days and youre feeling better! Itll get even easier the more you get used to babys routines and such of course. And of course remember youve just had major surgery, so theres no rush to be perfect at everything and doing everything! ❤️ My messages are open i think if you need to chat about anything though, or just complain, i dont mind either way. :)

@Amy thank you so much!! Have definitely been taking it easy with movements and such. We’re now a week post op and I do actually feel really good! I’ll have the odd hour or so before bed where it stings and starts hurting but I think that’s because I’ve finally relaxed and all the pain comes at once. Us mummas have had it hard but I’m sure with time it most definitely keep improving❤️thank you for your kind words xx
@Leigha awh im so glad youre doing better already. :D the relaxing thing does make sense cause at the very least youre not so much paying attention to the pain while baby is taking up your time all day. :) We do most definitely have it hard but, specially with the healing, it does get easier. Im sure toddler season will be a different story but for now, you got this. ❤️
My waters broke themselves but I had to be induced after 24 hours as I hadn’t gone past 4cm. I was started on the hormone drip around 7pm and my daughter was born at 2am x
