I don’t have the heart to do it I tried and he cried like I was hurting him , he definitely snacks a lot tho
A lot of sources suggest breastfeeding is recommended for up to 2 years or beyond along with solids! If baby is still growing, you don't have to ween if you're not ready! Your pediatrician will definitely have more insight. I don't intend on stopping her for quite some time unless she grows out of it on her own. There don't seem to be any reasons why id need to stop. She has days where she's into solid foods, and next day she doesn't care haha so it brings relief knowing on those days she's still getting nutrients
What about if he isn’t chubby like he’s kinda skinny his pediatrician says he’s fine he’s just going to be tall and skinny but I’m concerned that he isn’t gaining enough weight bc I don’t have a lot of fat in my body or milk to give to him
Oh girl, mine is the same too! Don't stress. If he's gaining weight each visit and your pediatrician isn't worried, don't stress! Mine has always been tall and thin. And i think nursed babies tend to be on the thinner side. If he's running around and acting normal, he's good. A chubby baby doesn't mean healthy! If he's getting his an iron source, vitamin can source and enery source, he's good. Im also super skinny myself, but fat isn't something that's important for them to receive. They'll get natural fats through other foods
Thank you so much
Mine definitely loves to nurse. I find that she's not keen on eating large meals at once, so I'll give her smaller portions at a time. She definitely loves nursing though and does a lot of it, especially before and after naps/sleep and through the night. I've heard people completely go cold turkey to ween, im not sure if I have the heart to do that!
