Transition to cow’s milk.

Now my little one is one, I’m wondering how I transition to cow’s milk? Do I mix formula and cow’s milk together? Do I do it bottle by bottle? We were on comfort milk due to tummy issues for months and managed to successfully transition to normal formula a few months back. Please share what worked for you. I mixed them little at a time. So like 8oz bottle I’d do 7oz formula and 1oz cows milk for a couple days to see how she got on then I’d up the cows milk slowly.

I mixed them for a little while and gradually gave more cow’s milk

Mine was on allergy formula and just transitions on to soya. We did a 1 3rd soya 2 3rds formula and upped it every day. Literally took 3 days. My friend just offer straight cows milk and her little one took it. So just see what your baby will take x

I just did a straight swap with my little boy

straight swap with my boy, no issues whatsoever, we had introduced cows milk in his food beforehand like with cereal and having it cooked in stuff and he never had an issue, so straight swap was fine xx

@Dise @LeeAnne did you put the cow’s milk in as you was making the formula? We pre make them and store in fridge so guessing I would add it just before giving the bottle

We transitioned well, 2 bottles formula 1 bottle cow milk then gradually stopped formula and start giving just two bottles cow milk until I noticed she was having a hard time opening her bowel she will cry out in serious pain it went on for days coz I thought it’s just normal maybe she needs to take more water or some more fruit until I noticed a little cut in her anus I had to call 111 and the immediate prescribed laxative gave her the first time she open her bowel and continue the dosage for two days when I stopped giving her the medication it started again that’s when I said to myself I can’t continue to give my daughter medication just so she can open her bowel . We have now switched to soya milk and she is very much okay with it
