When did you start reading your baby a bedtime story? My LO is almost 7 months and I’ve always wondered if I should have started early on but there doesn’t seem to be a moment where it would fit in the routine just yet.
Plus books to him are something to chew and play with, I feel it would wake him up if I read to him.

We started with this one later than my first, but do a quick short book before feeding, after bath.

Ours have one by default since pregnancy as we do bedtime stories a lot of the time for our daughter while we do the twins bed time feed
But their books we generally do in the day

I started reading to him very early on, I’d say maybe three months or so (before that I’d read out loud whatever book I was reading to him while he nursed to sleep).
Then as part of our bedtime routine we read after or while’s he’s nursing before I put him down - we’ve been doing this since about four months which is when he allowed me to put him down.
Now (almost 7months) we’re trying to not nurse to sleep so we sometimes have a nursing book and a book for after nursing while he’s trying to grab/eat it.

Wr read a lot during the day but bedtime story every night as my toddler had one so the baby sits with us while we read it x

I’ve read to my LB since like a week old which might be weird to some 😂 and do it at bedtime every night since he had a bedtime routine around 3 months old.
We eat, play, read story while bath is running then bottle and sleep. But gonna start doing story after bath soon and see how that goes. X
