Bedtime

Does anyone else have a child that cries/screams for a half hour before falling asleep? We have a nighttime routine: change, feeding, books, prayers, then sleep. No matter what I or my husband try he will cry every night.

I mean to an extent lulling themselves to sleep is very normal, the crying but not tears crying is very normal ❤️ You could try changing the bedtime/ nap routine. I.e. 5/6am wake time aim for a 11:30/12:30 nap mid day till 1:30/3:30 whichever you see is best for your toddler whether that's a 2 hour or 3 hour nap 1x daily. Try a 7-8pm bedtime & figure which is better Is he overtired? Is it too early? Is he getting too much milk affecting his behavior/ sleep? Is he eating 3 meals a day maybe cut morning snack so he eats lunch & pm snack is fine bc he naps & will need a pm snack to help establish a meal based enriched nutrition to also enhance his sleep/ behavior These are all suggestions, not at all catered to your kids needs. Please take the advice with my utmost respect ❤️ -Your Tiny Human Teacher

My LO doesn’t cry / scream per say but he does chat to himself loudly for about 10-15 mins before he falls asleep.. and then like magic as soon as his eyes open at 545AM he’s straight back to loud chatting.

My girl does sometimes. Depending on when her last nap was, I think sometimes she’s not tired enough yet. We take her for a little walk outside. Seems to help.
