Playing

How is everyone playing/ interacting with their 3 month olds? I’m finding it hard to know what to do with her . Thanks! x

At home I use the play mat we have, which my little boy loves and has hanging toys on. He also likes books so sit and read to him or just prop the book open on a page for him to look at when in his bouncer.
I’ve just started to introduce more sensory toys like rattles, bubbles, foil mat and do these once a day.

I’ve also started taking him to 2 classes a week (baby sensory and massage) which mixes up the week for us both.

I just make sure I talk to her lots, anything I'm doing I talk her through if, for example if I'm cooking ill show her what I'm chopping, tell her what it is and what I'm doing etc. I take her for lots of walks, sometimes in the pram I'll put the hood back and walk under trees so she can see them, or in the carrier I take my time when I can to show her the flowers, trees etc and let her touch them, again talking through what everything is. Other than that just reading books, singing and peekaboo. I try to keep an eye out to make sure she's not getting over stimulated, if she gets fussy then I shut up and let her have a bit of peace 🤣
