My little ones have a tablet with preloaded cartoons. I wouldn't let them on YouTube. It's full of rubbish disguised as kids programs
Theres is a thing called a pi hole that uou can add to your router that blocks all ads on all devices that are connected to Wi-Fi. And also block adult content with it.
We have Amazon tablets and the kids have their own profiles and I choose what goes onto them. They have 0 access to anything besides what is on their home screen.
Idc because I have nothing on my phone that's inappropriate for my kids. We don't watch porn. So I seriously don't care. My YouTube is YouTube kids anyway. I don't even have the real YouTube app
It’s not that Idc, it’s just my kids have both WiFi enabled phones and iPads that only have kids apps on them. I can control from my phone, block specific apps or all if I want them Off.
My 5 year old has an iPhone but it works thru WiFi and has parental controls. He only watches Netflix, plays his games (talking Tom) or listens to music. He’ll sometimes ask for my phone or his fathers but there’s nothing we have in our phone that’s inappropriate or that he can get into.
We’ve got a. Old phone that we can lock but it’s preloaded with a few families Members numbers for him to FaceTime and if I don’t want him calling people I lock it to the app. But how would you know if a parent handed their kid an unlocked or locked YouTube?
Yess I knew . My messages and photos are locked and can only be unlocked with my face or code
I said I dont care because I dont give my child my phone ever. And the remote to the TV is up out of reach and whenever the TV is on, we are in the room with him. That said, thats awesome to have those things in place! There is so much stuff out there kids dont need to be exposed to!!!
Love to hear from one of the don't care moms. A mom i know works in a prek and had a 3 year old come in last week who accidentally click out of the apps on her dad's phone and watched PORN that he left open. So now the 3 year old is doing counseling for being exposed to that.
