Baby hasn’t pooped all day

I know this is fine, but she’s 3.5 months old and it’s my first time experiencing a full day without poop 🙈 she’s normally super regular so it has thrown me. She’s exclusively breast fed. Just looking for reassurance that this happens sometimes and any signs to watch out for if something isn’t right? Currently she’s super happy and fine. Tummy seems soft, and lots of wet nappies

My LO is the same! He went from going multiple times a day, to a couple times a day, to once a day, now usually every 2-3 days. He is 17 weeks old x

I was coming on here to make the same post. Usually almost every nappy is a poo but none today. Lots of wet nappies for us too and he doesn’t seem uncomfortable. I think I’d be concerned if it went on too long or he seems uncomfortable.

Breastfed babies can go up to a week not pooping though :) its normal x If she seems really uncomfortable through, try GP! My GP prescribed Lactulose :)

It makes me feel better that other babies haven’t pooped 😬 she’s just gone down for the night so I guess it isn’t happening today…or I’ll be rudely awakened by something disgusting tonight!

My breastfed 3.5 month old doesn't poo every day...and then suddenly she will have a poo day and do a good number of poos haha. My son was breastfed and he tended to poo every day so my daughter scared me the first time she went a few days without!

I could have written this myself! Looking forward to a poonami either or night or on our little road trip to a toddler festival tomorrow 🫠🫠🫠

My LB is 17 weeks (EBF) and since about 9 weeks he stopped going daily and it went to every other day. Recently that has extended to 4/5 days. We’ve just gone 5 days between poos and he seems fine. I heard there is less wastage with breastmilk but I was worried like you and constantly on poo patrol. When it happens it’s just one big explosion, then back to waiting another few days.

Mine often goes a whole week without going. I was worried at first but now it’s just normal. He never seems uncomfortable with it

Omg I don’t know if I can wait a week, I’d be terrified to leave the house! I’ve got her in her bouncer every chance I can get to push it out of her 🤣

My LG is 18 weeks and the last 3 weeks or so she’s gone from being an everyday pooper to less regular. Shes exclusively breastfed and had no change to feeding, still plenty of wet nappies, but pooping initially stopped for 4 days (by day 4 I was on to my GP, obviously she then went whilst I was waiting on them calling back). Since then we’ve had a majority of instances of her doing enough to almost blow out every other day or so. We had a good stint of daily poops for 4 days and now she’s back to going once every other morning. When I did speak to the GP they reiterated that up to a week is normal for breastfed babies (I did tell them I’d heard this but given she was always an everyday pooper from birth it isn’t her normal). They said to keep an eye on her and if she went 3/4 days again to let them know so it’s on their radar. She’s content mostly, gets fussy before she does finally go, and her gas gets foul the evening before she goes (reassures us it’s coming tbh)

Well, we are ended up pooping this morning and thank god we were home! I had to call in my partner for backup as baby has a wonderful habit of whale tailing into her dirty nappy. We’ve had a busy weekend this weekend and I’ve been wearing her because it’s easier than the pram, so thank god she didn’t go off while we’re been out 😬
