When to stop contact naps

My baby is 9 weeks, and I do contact naps through out the day because she doesn’t stay asleep for long when I put her down. When should I stop contact naps and get more strict about having her sleep in the bassinet? I love it but really think I need to get her used to it more since I’ll be back at work soon. What is everyone doing to get their baby to stay asleep in their bassinet?

Going through the same thing!!

Same 😭 He’s amazing at nighttime but during the day he only wants to sleep on me.

Me too 😅💟 i will try to lay her down sometimes but she startles herself awake after a a few minutes and then doesn’t get her full nap. Need help! 😂😂

Samesies at 10 weeks. The only thing he’ll sleep on during the day is the lounging pillow next to me on the couch

Same thing here! She drinks her bottle and she falls sleeps in my chest then I put her in the bassinet and I save a little bit of the bottle to give it to her on the bassinet until she falls sleeps. The problem is that it only works for 30 maybe a little bit more but when she sleeps in my chest she sleeps for 1 hour or maybe an 1 hour and a half 😭

I’ve been having this issue with my 8.5 week old for awhile. We recently moved our bedside bassinet to our sun room since he sleeps in his Cradlewise in our room. This baby loves being outside and it typically has an instant calming effect on him. We found out the sun room is a pretty close second. He does wake up if there’s a loud noise and his day time naps aren’t super long, but it does seem to be working better than laying him down in our room.

My almost 12 week old is the same. I hope they grow out of it.

You’re still in the 4th trimester. Embrace the cuddles before they’re gone. I contact napped with my first for the first like 4-5 months

Same!!! I do the last nap in my carrier and that helps me get some things done!

I give my son a very warm bath warm, semi warm bath, and then he goes straight to sleep
