@Bella he loves watermelon I can definitely try that & he has never had cucumber I’m have to see if he likes it
Also, do you give him water with his meals? I am wondering if drinking in between may help too
My daughter use to do the same but I normally give her water mixed with juice or just plain water with her meals . Or just eating yogurt with fruit as a breakfast to start helps keeping them full until lunch or later for a small snack …bananas helps too
Can I ask are you concerned he'll get sick or weight gain? Because it could be he has a fast metabolism and needs those extra calories to keep on going. As others mentioned, you could give fruits higher in water to help him feel more full, as also increase his water intake in general. It also depends on how much you are feeding him of high fiber foods. Higher fiber will fill him up, and keep his GI healthy. What does the plate look like? Is it more sides than protein? Maybe increase the protein portion
I personally would increase his protein and less rice, because he could be going through a growth spurt
Would he eat cut up cucumbers or watermelon? I am thinking the higher water content may help so it’s not heavy stuff after a meal
