Playmat recommendations?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a 150cmx150cm playmat that is also cushioned. I bought one that's "padded" but it's still so hard that if baby tips over, she will cry. She doesn't cry when it happens on our bed and rather enjoys herself when she tips over there. I need a space I can leave her where it's safe and want to put up the playpen with a cushion-y mat so I can leave her there with her toys while cooking/going to the bathroom etc. Right now, I have to constantly sit with her and I'm not getting anything done at all. Any recommendations? I heard good things about totter and tumble or whatever they're called but it's out of my budget 😕

mine looks similar. Do we just have to push through with the one we have until she doesn't cry when tumbling over?

Yeah that’s what I did. She soon got used to it ☺️

I use a mat, and put cushions behind and to the side of her, in case she falls. They catch her 90% of time - or did, she rarely takes a tumble now.

Question for the newborn mamas!

My 2 month old coughs and chokes in between feeds recently. It will come on randomly. Sometimes it’s scary! I think it’s because of reflux but I can’t be sure. He also has been salivating a lot more so he’s got a build up of that. Any ideas/ tips tricks to help?

Daily bath time?

Are there any mums who are bathing their babies daily? My daughters 7 weeks old and I’m only bathing her 2/3 times a week as recommended by my midwife but I feel it helps soothe her tummy as well as relaxes her before bedtime and I’m wondering if I should add more baths into our routine!

Sleeping at Night

I gave birth on 31st March. FTM struggling, my baby hates being put down, hates the next to me crib. We’ve tried swaddling, sleep bags, white noise, any advice I would be so grateful. I haven’t had much sleep since giving birth so grateful for any tips

Bathing

Might be stupid, but oh well 😂...how do you bathe your babies who still topple over when sitting?
We're using angle care bath support even our LB is turning 10 months very soon...we're using it especially after poos as with the amount he poos it's simply easier for us to shower his bottom every single time. One of the sticky legs broke today so we got a collapsible basket as a tryout but he straight away toppled over and hit his head on the back of the basket. 🫣
I got in the past a tip of using an anti-slip mat on the bottom of the bath and simply let him lie in the bath but like this his hair will get wet which is not ideal when we wanna go out straigh away after bath.
I just kinda wonder if there's any other way we could do the bath time besides bath seat (which we have as well) cause it's hard to rinse him properly when he sits in it. Genuinely asking as we shouldn't be using bath support anymore cause he's over weight limit for it. 🫢
