Slings are a great way to be hands free whilst baby naps. You can still get things done whilst baby is close to you which may help you and baby. Give it a try. Xx
My 4 month old still won’t nap in her crib in the day but is fine at night. She will fall asleep in the day in a rocker or on my bed, but mainly on me. Unfortunately at that age they really just want to be held :( annoying I know! x
My little one is exactly the same xx
My baby carrier got me through the newborn days - I absolutely couldn’t have got anything done without it. Definitely worth trying :) Also have you tried letting her fall into a deeper sleep in your arms and then gently placing her into the Moses basket? Often you can get away with transferring baby this way to at least get a little hands free time. Or the other option is pushing her in the pram until she’s asleep and then supervising her sleeping in there so you at least have your hands free to eat or drink!
Try putting baby into the pram for naps , close enough to just rock back and forth if needed. My daughter was the same and majority slept on me , but I then stared getting to sleep in the pram or transferred her to the pram for naps, this worked up until she was 12/13 months and from 11 months till now she’s now sleeping her naps in the cot .
Have you tried laying her down awake? My daughter would only nap in my arms for months, I ended up pretty much laid in the next to me crib next to her till she fell asleep but I found if she fell asleep in there then she slept fairly well. Xx
Before she gets into a deep sleep ie drowsy put her bum down first and have white noise on and hopefully that helps
Completely normal. Look up the 4th trimester.
@Dani unfortunately my baby hates the baby carrier 😢 x
@Jules my baby hates the baby carrier, she just cries whenever she is put in it 🥲 As soon as I put her down anywhere (even if she is in a deep sleep) she wakes up, I’ve tried so many times it’s so frustrating 😂
@Charlotte that’s a real shame! I agree with some of the other comments, white noise and let her fall asleep on you then gently transfer to pram, and then if they stir you can rock them a bit. That seems to work for me but it’s taken my baby a while to get used to it, it wasn’t easy at first.
@Charlotte which one have you got? Have you had a fit check? Get baby in then get moving, preferably outside and they should settle.
@Natalie it’s one by the brand Red Kite. She doesn’t mind it after a while if I am constantly moving and patting her bum, but otherwise she just screams 😢

@Charlotte id have a fit check done. Happy if you want to send photos to do one or the Facebook page babywearing UK is great for it. That particular one is one that is quite narrow until they grow enough to undo the bottom and support their legs more (knee to knee), may be that another one would be more suitable and last longer for you.
@Natalie thank you, what do you mean by narrow and undoing the bottom bit? X
Can you try a sling? That helped me.
