Spitting Up and Gagging

My little boy is 8.5 months old and he has CMPA. We have been on Neocate for almost 6 months with Carobel and he still spits up a lot. It can be completely random and he doesn't even seem to know it happens. He is also really bad for gagging on food and I'm beginning to wonder if it's all linked. Has anyone experienced this and found any solutions? We are going to contact the GP and are considering an Osteopath but I'm not sure how much good it will be now he is older!

Has he ever been checked for a tongue tie? That can cause issues with eating food and could be the cause of the spitting up to x

@Ella no he hasn't, but I can't see that he has one!

Do get it looked at! My little boy is 9 months old now. He had it cut twice (first time actually made it worse) but after the second the amount of sick halved! He obviously still had a weak muscle in his stomach but it made such a difference. He had a very strong gag reflex (according to an IBCLC), which would have been caused by the tongue tie as his tongue was never on the roof of his mouth. We also did some exercises after the tongue tie release as he did develop some scar tissue. He has never struggled with eating food and is hardly sick now. It's a really hard thing to deal with, and you just want to do what is best for your baby x
