Idk if this will help but my 19 month old is having more tantrums lately and not in daycare. I tell myself it's probably because he gets frustrated because he can communicate some, but we don't get it or he doesn't get what he wants (like he doesn't want his diaper changed or wants the TV remote)
@Aly same here with my 19 month old
Same issues I think it’s a things due to separation anxiety he started two weeks ago and when he comes home he cries if I’m not holding him regularly or when we tell him to certain things
How many days/how long are they going for?
@Ten ugh I don’t know what to do 😣😣
@Jenn she goes mon-fri 8:30 to 5:30 but sometimes I pick her up early
@Aly I feel like it come be that too but she would cry for anything 😫
Former preschool teacher here! Any big life transition comes with a 6-8 weeks adjustment period; it is quite common and as long as you’re consistent, she will adjust fairly quickly❤️
My son is 19 months and 2 days and I'm planning on sending him to daycare soon. I'm hoping for the best bc I'm sooo scared. FTM 😭
I think is more the age... but also daycare adjustment might play a part, 3 weeks might be little time if she was never in a group setting.
@Mirca do you know if she is napping at daycare okay? In my experience (educator here) I find that full time kids struggle to nap at first and it manifests in difficult behaviors/acting out/generally having a hard time at home in the evenings.
19 months and no daycare over here, and this kid is having BIG feelings this last week.
@Jenn she was struggling the first week from what they told me but the teachers said she is doing better now also maybe because she still breastfeeds which I’m trying to wean her off
Could be the kids around her . She’s picking up learned behaviors or she just not used to going and has to adapt to being in a different environment
