My boys are the same! They will eat lunch meat/chicken nuggets, fruit, fries, french toast, yogurt and snack stuff thats it! My youngest will atleast try stuff but my oldest who is 3 will not try anything at all! My doctor said its normal and to keep offering and he will eventually want to try. He is 90 percentile in height and weight so the doctor isnt worried!
@Jalyn so is it okay to just give in on what they should eat?
Asked heal baby care app and sharing in case it helps: "You're definitely not alone in this; many parents face similar challenges with picky eaters, especially around the age of three. It's common for toddlers to go through phases where they refuse foods they previously liked, which can be incredibly frustrating. One effective strategy is to keep offering a variety of foods without pressure; sometimes, just seeing the food on their plate can help them become more familiar and comfortable with it. Another tip is to involve him in meal preparation; kids often show more interest in foods they helped make. Remember, it's important to stay calm and patient during this phase, as stress around mealtime can make things worse. Have you noticed any specific foods he enjoys, even if they're limited?"
That is me with my 3 year old. Ugh it’s so frustrating. My son likes fruits but when it’s a vegetable or meat, ugh. It’s like I’m failing also I want him to eat well. You’re definitely not alone. I’m glad I’m not alone either. Have you mentioned any of this to the dr.
