Hi, going on holiday next month and wondering what to do about bottles. Would you use/trust hotel kettles or should I take my own? Thanks x

I've heard horror stories about hotel kettles and don't even think id use one for myself, I'd just get a travel one if possible or see if there's somewhere to go buy a cheap one when you're there if you're stressed about luggage space or that you can take and throw out if there's no room coming back. I'm in Aus and kmart has a kettle for about $8 which is what I'd probably do

I did and it was fine, just cleaned it out first before we used it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Travel kettle from Amazon! The thought of using a kettle that some drunk has peed in after a night out was not for me
when we went away the first time. We bought a travel kettle and a collapsible bucket to use with Milton tablets to sterilise bottles and it worked great. I’d also take a small container of your own washing powder to use in case you need to wash any clothes in the sink, some powders abroad are very harsh and full of chemicals! Wish we had done this after several blow outs :)

I would probs get a little travel kettle and take my own… you would like to think that hotel kettles are descaled and cleaned properly but I doubt they are x

Bring your own! I went away n it had limescale. Luckily it was a funeral and my family lived there & it was a sunday so everything was shut. I suggest bring your own xxx
