How to stay positive?

It’s been over a year of TTC baby 2, husbands semen analysis came back fine, my bloods have come back fine, we’ve been referred to the fertility clinic but it’s up to a 8 week wait just to get an appointment date… I got my peak reading yesterday, we’ve already had sex twice within my fertile window but said to hubby last night we need to go tonight or in the morning. He ended up working late last night and I was asleep by the time he got home, we woke up this morning and I tried to initiate sex he said he wasn’t in the mood, I said that’s fine but I’m due to ovulate today so we really should and he just said ‘what’s the point not like it’s gonna work’ 😔 I’ve tried explaining to him that people try for years and years with no explanation to why they don’t fall pregnant, we were extremely lucky with our first. I ended up in a mood this morning, I messaged him to apologies and he he said he doesn’t want to try anymore, he said we should just wait till I get my referral date and see what they said. I’m absolutely gutted 😔

Have you had your amh tested and have you had a private hyfosy ?

No I haven’t. I’m not sure what they were testing for on my bloods, they just took 6 different tubes of blood. I’m debating on whether or not to pay private for a scan

@Laura they tested me while I was on my period, so unsure what they were testing for. My friend is TTC her first and they did her test after ovulation before her period, but mine were done while I was on.

Progesterone they test 7 days after ovulation- you want that tested to. Day 3- 5 bloods ' whilst on period is hormones

@Laura thank you, So annoying, why would they not have now sent me for more test after ovulation!? 😩

Just ask and they should

Keep your chin up , we were unexplained infertility and randomly conceived after we ‘give up trying’ the pressure on both partners gets too much. 2.5 years trying in total (waiting for IVF for 1.5 of those years) - One thing we did do though is start in mounjaro 3 months before we conceived, not a ‘big’ couple by any means but it seems to have reset us. We found out are pregnant the month we stopped and We’re due 29th May ☺️

How did you manage to get referred? I had a blood test & gp said nothing more they can do for second baby

@Sophie no idea, she just said that my bloods have come back fine, so they did me a referral form, it’s a 7 month wait. I’m not sure if it’s because I ended up having an emergency section with my first, I had a split placenta- as soon as this was bought up she said she’d refer me.
