Maternity allowance - online payslips

Hiya ladies, I was hoping one of you might have an answer to my question: My company exclusively had online payslips, and if you needed them for any purpose you'd just log into the system and download them. Is this download considered an 'original' for maternity allowance purposes considering I didn't get them in any other form? I only got my final payslip once I stopped working in a paper form (the kind you have to rip the sides of to open it) and that is only because obviously I wouldn't have access to the system anymore. Has anyone had any issues using the printed downloads for the form or did everything go smoothly? Thanks for any help xx

i can’t see you having any issues at all with that! most companies are the same way including mine and i didn’t! x

I have not had a paper payslip since 2021 and have had no issues using the download as the original. A lot of places that request original payslips are very much aware technology is moving forward and reducing waste is the future so you should have no issue here.

Yes. A printed version of an online payslip is fine. Barely anyone gets printed payslips anymore. I sent printed downloaded copies of my online payslips and didn’t have any issues

PDFs are fine, it’s what I used for my MA application

I didn’t send any payslips they can get your info from HMRC directly they’ll ask if any issues

Thank you all, that is so reassuring to hear xxxxx
