Worried about my HCG

I did a digital clear blue pregnancy test at 4 weeks (according to Flo) and although it was now positive (previously negative at 12dpo) it marked me as 1-2 weeks pregnant when I should be the start of 2-3 weeks, is this a sign my HCG is low or did anyone have the same? Obviously I’m a nutter and testing everyday so will show my 4+1 and 4+2 line tests. To add - I’m not 100% sure on ovulation, we started trying 18 days ago so this has happened very quickly.. Flo said my ovulation date was 3/5 - we baby danced, 2nd and 4th. My last period was 20th April

I believe with those you have to subtract about 2 weeks because the clear blue goes off of ovulation date whereas the apps go off of last period

Those clearblue measure from time of conception, not from last period.

On a clearblue the weeks are: 1-2 is 3-4 2-3 is 4-5 3+ is 5+ You add on 2 weeks as it goes from the date of conception and not the last day of your period x

Ahhh thank you girls I understand now. So my conception date will be a few days after ovulation right? Sorry a complete novice at this.. hopefully I see 2-3 weeks in a couple of days? I was going to do one today but might be too early, Flo says I’m 4+3 weeks today. Also do my sticks look okay for 15&16 DPO?

Thank you. I’m 4+3 by dates and I tested this morning again and it’s still saying 1-2 weeks so I’m just hoping I ovulated later, or implantation was later!

But your levels could still be totally normal. Levels to get a 2-3 need to be 153 but levels from 5 upwards can still be normal at that gestation. I absolutely hate these tests for the anxiety they cause!

@Ceri-Ann yes! Causing me so much anxiety, I thought my levels would be above 153 at 4+3, I’m just really hoping my dates are out 😭😭😭

As explained these tests do their dates a bit differently, more or less +2 weeks. I didn't get 3+ until almost 7 weeks pregnant and I'm now 30 weeks. Your line tests look fantastic for your dates, try not to worry it's not good for you or baby ✨️🤞

Thank you! Definitely overthinking it I just feel like everything has been too good to be true so far 🥺

Totally understand, been there!! It's tough but too much testing can cause more anxiety!! With my first I tested every day (sometimes multiple times) until about 10 weeks, this time I stopped doing line tests and did one of the weeks indicator every 10 days, once I got 3+ I stopped!!

But even if they aren’t over 153, as long as they are doubling it doesn’t matter! It is still in normal range

@Ceri-Ann I find this also isn’t accurate! Both times I have got a 2-3 with my toddler and this pregnancy and my hcg has been above 10,000! They’re not sold in America for this reason x

@Ceri-Ann yeah but it’s hard not knowing whether it’s doubling or not 😫😫

@Lauren honestly as a midwife I hate them. They cause way too much anxiety, they aren’t accurate and they don’t provide appropriate information alongside the tests It also doesn’t explain that blood HCG is drastically different to urine HCG so lab samples and test samples could come back with wildly different results!

@Ceri-Ann what makes it worse is that I am a midwife 😂😂 first pregnancy though, and I suffer with anxiety so this was bound to happen

@Ceri-Ann it caused me so much stress that i wasn’t getting a 3+!! So I totally agree they aren’t accurate. I had someone tell me they didn’t even get one with triplets 😂
