Constipation when starting solids

Little man started puree and seems to be constipated with it. Is this normal or is there anything I can do to help. Still having normal feeds around this.

Yes this is normal in the first couple of months! Use prune puree daily, this has helped my little girl massively

It didn’t happen to my son but it can be common Pumpkin, peaches, pears, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries would help

Totally normal. Baby's digestive system needs to work slightly different to digestive food Compared to the milk they were on. We kept a pouch of prunes in the cupboard when this happened and it really helped us especially when we weren't ready to try her on berries yet

Yes normal, make sure you give water with solids. This will help.

Completely normal. Try some prune puree and make sure he is having sips of water too x

Thank u so much guys.

My baby is 8 months and has been experiencing constipation since solids. His farts also smell so bad 😂

Water and prunes got us through

Very normal especially for breastfed babies. We had the same thing for about 6 weeks. Focus on the P family: pear, prunes, peaches, any kind of fiber and you can give a little water at this age too. Prunes helped my daughter I got the dried organic and put it in a little oatmeal with flax seed.

We made sure ours ate applesauce/prunes everyday

Very normal. We would give prunes in oatmeal every morning Dates also work.

Totally normal! My little one was so bad that I had to go to GP to get laxatives! Give prunes, pear, apples, yoghurt, spinach and orange or diluted prune juice and extra water. Avoid bananas, meat and broccoli.

My lad has been constipated the last few days. Gave him prune puree mixed in some warm water, which he loved. Also frozen some to go in his teething dummy.

It’s normal. Give your little one apple and pears purée . It helps for constipation
