Does your toddler still drink milk before bed/in the morning?

If they do how much do they drink?? & what do they drink it from? We usually do a straw sippy before bed & in the morning when he wakes up of whole milk. & usually a little at nap. Wondering when we quit the milk or what cups are best?

Not before bed but she does get 8 oz in the morning with her breakfast, we use Zak straw cups she still spills when she uses open cups

My girl does 5 ounces morning afternoon and evening so a total of 15 ounces. The doctor said this is fine as long as she’s eating other foods too. But I’m seeing her ask for milk before food. What a struggle. We are still doing a sippy cup. She won’t switch to a straw cup. I guess he likes the sucking.

We do the Zak straw cups or the Munchkin 360 cups (which are shaped more like open cups but avoid spills). Our pediatrician said milk is fine at night through 3. We only do morning and night, not nap because we don't want her to always associate needing milk when she's going to sleep. We do water all other times (and have water available in another cup in the morning and at night).

@JL I think I want to cut out milk during the day too this is a great idea I think to get my girl to not associate feeling hungry with milk. Maybe give her more in the morning and evening to start and just give water the rest of the day. I foresee some meltdowns about this though… with me luck

@Ashley you can do this! If you need help, ask ChatGPT - explain your current routine and what you're trying to do. We did it with a bedtime routine and it had some good info about reducing things in a way to disassociate them from other routines. It's also better for their teeth to get milk away from bedtime because teeth are softer for 30 minutes after eating/drinking anything besides water so teeth brushing will be more effective too!

have water always, make it fun say make it look delicious basically . My toddler was stuck on bottle rarely happens anymore but when it does I just keep giving her other foods/snacks/drinks. Water is must always I give her a cute bunny cup with straw

i never gave either of my kids milk before it's been shown to j cause cancer and fat build up so we skip it
