How would you pronounce the name
“Colby” I pronounce it how it’s spelt but my friend pronounces it like Coleby but was going to spell it Colby so I suggested that spelling it Coleby is more suited to her pronunciation.

Short vowel sound for the ‘o’ rather than the long vowel sound that the ‘o-e’ split gives. I’d say Col-be.
Col-be (Col like Colin or College). I’m UK if that makes a difference.

I knew a Colby and he pronounced it Col-bee, like Colin. UK based though if it’s like Graham and has two different pronunciations 🤷♀️
