Do we still give our kids baby food? E.g. pouches, melti sticks, baby porridge and flavourless baby crisps

We are not buying my boy any baby food any more. The boy can have food intended for children but no more Ella’s kitchen etc.

Mainly if we are out and about a pouch will come out as it’s easy!

We still do prune pouches for constipation and melty sticks when out and about x

We still do melty sticks and organix carrot puffs and things for when out and about as it's just easy!

Occasionally I would still use the yoghurt pouches on the go and the veggie sticks crisps but shes not fussed on melty sticks etc anymore

We still do some ‘baby’ dishes 12+ for lunch and smoothie melts (kiddilicous) for a clean snack. Other than that, all normal food, have done for quite a few months tbh xx

I personally never gave my LO baby food, I did BLW only. And for snacks always fruit or cucumber, I also do a batch of cookies (oat, banana and orange are the only ingredients) super easy and quick that last for a week.

I never did the pouches as I just didn’t like the thought of something with a long shelf life and not needing to be refrigerated. I use the Costco veggie straws as when you read the ingredients they’re actually pretty good! I also use the Sainsbury’s oat bars made for babies as although the sugar content is slightly higher than I’d like he loves them and they have beetroot and pumpkin in them so good bits too ☺️

I don’t see the problem with some of the baby specific food items. Especially the crisps, like the different puffs. My little boy loves cheesy puffs or anything like crunchy crisps & I’d much rather be giving baby intended ones than Cheetos etc As for squeezey yogurt pouches my little one prefers them over refrigerated yogurts for some reason, mood depending 😂 I have tried plain Greek yogurt but he hates it! Mind you it’s very difficult to get him to eat anything at the moment 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I like pouches for quick pasta sauces as they usually have veg and protein
