cots

need some advice please. so my son is 5 and a half months and i’ve just bought him a cot as he’s too big for his next to me now. he’s started to roll and he will get himself in all sorts of awkward positions and then scream for me bc he’s uncomfortable. this morning when i went to get him bc he was crying he had rolled over and he was squashed against the slats of the cot with his arm through the slats which he couldn’t get back through the cot bc he can’t roll back yet. for reference he can roll back to front but not front to back yet. is there anything i can do as i just worry he’s going to hurt himself?

Nothing you can do tbh but I found using the sleeping bags at night at least stops my boy getting his legs caught in the bars. Crib bumpers are a suffocation and strangulation risk, even the mesh ones. Eventually they learn what positions they can and can’t be in. They do get used to it x

You can buy mesh for bumpers for the cot

Yeah we’ve got mesh ones small holes so breathable. Had them with my first and now second. Amazon c
