the whole bubble bath, getting nails done or spa day or going out as self care hasn’t been my thing cuz I think thats what was sold to women as “self care” bt Im really trying to not label something as simple as “grooming” myself as self care lol so Im actually trying to do what I consider “self care” for myself & not what society expects me to do. So I have adopted the 3 daily wins into my self care routine; which is 1) a physical win: exercise & moving my body, healthy eating, remembering to stay hydrated, drink lots of water etc. 2) a mental win: writing, readings learning, feeding my brain with information & being creative 3) a spiritual win: praying or fasting, therapy Ultimately my life lacks balance bt overall it’s lacks discipline, so my goals have been trying to learn new habits, so I can change the way I live x
My husband a golfer, and plays usually 2-3 times a week, so we’ve just started that one night a week from 5pm I go out and do what I want kid free.. at the moment I’m going swimming / having some time in a spa and then treating myself to some food after :) I tend to go with someone else like a friend or my mum but I’ve been going on my own as well and honestly just having that one evening where I can ‘switch off’ from home life is amazing! :)
My wife and I each have an evening to ourselves every week to do whatever we want. My wife paints and plays guitar usually on hers. I do my nails, lashes, hair or I go get a message or facial.

I do my hair nails lashes at home, everything I buy is DIY. I go get facials massages, and the chiro to crack and realign my back and because he’s cute 😂. I do a collagen face mask once a week, and focus on skincare every day. I take 2 dance classes a week (salsa and bachata) and see friends for drinks and dinner, karaoke or club or dessert. I go on monthly date nights w the Hubby, we have one this Friday. I’ll be dyeing my hair and doing my nails before we leave that night. I get a shein delivery monthly of a dress, heels, hobby stuff and self care stuff. A new gym wear set for dance. I highly prioritise my self care

Therapy, 10/10 recommend👌🏼🙌🏼❤️🩹✨ tellin you it’s undervalued but when you do it & find a therapist you vibe with, you’re gonna wish you would’ve done it a LOT sooner (particularly before becoming a parent)😆
Nothing currently but plan to implement a self care routine this summer. Either working out at apartment gym, riding my bike in nature or doing yoga. One of them or maybe two of them. I need to start being active and taking care of my muscles
