Nursery still allowing child to nap when we’ve asked them not to

We’ve been trying to transition to no naps for ages now, my little girl is mostly good without a nap now. She does get tired early in the evening and so we do early bed time, but if she naps then she’s awake till about 10PM. I have repeatedly told the nursery not to allow her to nap (unless she seems sick or absolutely exhausted), but we’ve been having days where they haven’t recorded any naps in the day but then she goes down at 10PM instead of our usual bed time at 7:30. The only explanation I have is that they’ve been allowing her to nap and then lied about it when we’ve asked/on the app. I believe there is only 1 other child in the class that doesn’t nap so it feels to me like they just try to get them all down as much as possible regardless of what the parents ask. I’m not sure what to do, am I being too lenient by allowing them some nap leeway (eg by saying she can nap if she’s not well or too exhausted)? Should I allow the nap time as I can see that nursery can be quite tiring for them? I have no proof other than the fact we are up till 10PM on random nursery nights. It happens about once a week, and she’s only in the nursery for 2.5 days a week. Anyone else experience something similar?

I would personally be firm with the nursery and say to them you know that she is napping as she isn’t going down till 10pm. Maybe say you will take it further as this is affecting home life with you and your partner. Happy mum=happy baby🥰

Yes! My twins are August 22 babies and my girl can sleep at nursery and still sleep at any time at night, but my boy if he naps any longer than an hour he is up until gone 10pm, so I have asked nursery to cap at max 1 hour! But I suspect he sleeps as long as his sister. It’s really infuriating. He has gone without naps at home lately so I’m planning on telling nursery no naps whatsoever for him now. Have you explained that she doesn’t sleep at night if she naps during the day?

Defiantly be firm and remind them again! I asked the same this morning and she ended up having a 30 minute nap! She's just dropped off 😂😫🫠

Same here! I asked nursery recently for no naps. They said that would be too big a jump so they said they’d cut down to 1 hour naps but the naps are still over an hour!

Is there any way she would wear a step watch, so you can see actively on the app if she's moving at certain times and if she's not 😅 then you can be like gotcha! 🤣
