When to test

I’m 6 days late, have taken 4 tests in the last 4 days including an early one and all were negative. I’ve had light cramps on and off for around 4 days but no sign of period. I’ve never skipped a period in my life, my cycles are always identical (I had one 7 months ago that was a day early). I don’t understand and know several women have posted about missed periods and negative tests but I don’t know how long to try to wait now before testing again. And if I’m not pregnant do I go to the doctors or do I wait to see what happens next cycle? My mind is saying I have to be pregnant but the tests are clearly negative. Any positive stories for this situation where you’ve ended up positive later after a missed period?

And when do I consider myself out for this cycle? How many days late means I have just skipped ovulating?

I’m in the same place! Just booked myself for a blood test

I’m in the same boat period is 4days late I tested today with a digital it says not pregnant. Have the symptoms of pregnancy aside from sore boobs. Will wait till next week to call the doctor

I was 7 days after my period due before I got my first positive test.

@Vicki did u test b4 that 7days and kept getting negative?

@Mrso yep! Had a feeling I was as just felt exhausted and off so was surprised it was negative. Hadn’t even planned to test again but had a hospital stay and though ahh I better just test again just incase and it came back positive! x

@Vicki wow thanks for responding. This gave me a bit of hope, Fingers crossed. Been trying for 3years with 4MC and age is not on my side, although I have a beautiful 4year old. But really want more.

(7 days late, 14 days after what must have been conception - I don’t track ovulation but must have happened late!)

Thank you! Wishing all those in the same situation the best of luck. Negative tests after a missed period clearly don’t always mean negative!! (I even took the early ones and they were negative so don’t give up hope!)
