Would you withdraw offer - house related UK
We have sold our house and now have some paperwork to complete, one of the questions relates to planning applications of nearby properties.
On the road behind us a house sold and the new owner made a change of use application to make the house a children’s home, we showed our support and submitted an objection and the application was rejected in March - no appeal or further applications have been submitted.
If you were our buyers would you pull out? (They have a 2 year old and are pregnant).
We don’t share a boundary with the property and we wouldn’t be impacted by parking etc, we objected in support of our neighbours as it’s a close knit community.

I wouldn't, I would have absolutely no issue living near a children's home as long as the children are being looked after properly and receiving the care they need.
I'm confused, the application for the children's home was rejected.
Why would your buyer pull out, it's not even going ahead??
I am not sure if you have anxiety, but this sounds like an irrational worry.
To be fair they can pull out for literally any reason, they could end up not getting the mortgage, they could just change their minds.
House buying in the UK is a tricky business and more stressful than anything I have ever experienced.
I agree it's all worry that won't do you any good, keep going and get to exchange using any form of anxiety reducing methods you can find. Deep breaths x
I’m not suggesting any dishonesty but genuinely curious as to whether you have to include the information if the application has been dealt with and rejected considering it hasn’t been appealed?
If it involved a lot of building work they couldn’t guarantee an end date on, lorries in and out every day, constant noise, I’d likely withdraw to be honest. But if it’s just a change of use of the building I wouldn’t be bothered
It’s for the buyers solicitor to advise and to flag. I wouldn’t say anything unless asked.
It’s been rejected so not really an issue as it stands
